bakerbus, in its next stage of development, started a brand new commercial service linking Stoke-on-Trent city centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Keele University and Silverdale. This was in response to an identified gap in the service network in the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) bid for North Staffordshire.

The direct service from Hanley to Keele was initially timetabled for a 30 minute frequency but, since January, this has been enhanced to 15 minutes.

The vehicles chosen for this service are 7 new Wrightbus Streetlite, wheel forward, 33 seaters which are Euro 5 compliant. The vehicles have been painted in bakerbus distinctive yellow and blue livery and also fitted with WiFi which is now becoming a standard feature for Bakers new bus acquisitions.
