Bakers Coaches has a new face in its front office team at the Coach Travel Centre, Biddulph.  Sophie Wilshaw has joined the company as Sales Executive.  A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, Sophie sees this new job as an opportunity to build a future career in coaching and holiday travel.

Commenting on Sophie’s appointment, Phil Baker said. “This is a busy time of year for bookings and Sophie will further strengthen our sales administration. Although the immediate priority was to provide maternity cover for a colleague, we want to tap into the potential of young graduates who can readily adapt to our business procedures and in particular, new technology in communications and social media.

For now the job is mainly dealing with enquiries from the public about bus services, holiday bookings and Awaydays. Sophie will also liaise with the operations team while she completes her initial training. 

“This is the career opening that I have been waiting for,” says Sophie. I went to school in Biddulph and I have known members of the family all my life. Everybody has been very welcoming and I have learnt so much since I started.
